MASSAGE THERAPY: Services

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Therapeutic Massage is any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress or work on a specific problem. This can be deep tissue, medium or light pressure, or relaxation.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Pregnancy massage is a type of massage therapy specifically designed to be used during pregnancy. It is also called prenatal massage. Pregnancy massage may help relieve some of the aches and pains of pregnancy.
It can help:

Pain relief

Reduce swelling

Better Sleep

Relaxation

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

Aromatherapy massage is used for a variety of different reasons, including relaxation, pain management, and improved mood. The therapist performs a normal therapeutic massage and adds essential oils.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial release focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the facial tissue. Localizing pain to a specific trigger point is very difficult. For that reason, myofascial release is often used over a broad area of muscle and tissue rather than at single points.

CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY

Cranial sacral therapy is a type of bodywork that relieves compression in the bones of the head, sacrum (a triangular bone in the lower back), and spinal column. It uses gentle pressure on the head, neck, and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression. It can, as a result, help to treat a number of conditions. Through the gentle manipulation of the bones in the skull, spine, and pelvis, the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system can be normalized. This removes “blockages” from the normal flow, which enhances the body’s ability to heal.

CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

SCAR TISSUE RELEASE

Scar tissue and adhesions are the result of our body's natural healing process and it occurs both internally and externally. The process, if working correctly, is supposed to eliminate the scars and adhesions once the wound is healed.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

Hot stone massage therapy is an age-old treatment with the addition of heat for a modern twist. Water-heated, smooth stones are placed strategically on the body on key points—with or without pressure—for relaxation and pain relief. This treatment helps relieve tension, eases muscle stiffness, and increases circulation.
Hot stone therapy promotes healing by targeting the deeper layers of muscle through the use of heated stones. Combined with regular massage, this treatment delivers a wealth of benefits.

GUA SHA

Gua sha is a technique used in traditional East Asian Medicine. It is used to treat muscle pain and tension.
Gua sha moves energy around the body using a tool to rub the skin in long strokes.
It may help the break down scar tissue and connective tissue, improving movement in the joints, as well as, help with back pain, tendon strain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body.
Lymphatic drainage is an important tool to keep the lymphatic system in good condition for optimum health. The main task of the lymphatic system is to keep the immune system operating well while cleaning and nourishing all the cells in the body, no matter what their function. A poorly functioning lymphatic system can affect every part of the body.
